Hi, I'm Wendra Lynne...
Hi, I'm a watercolor artist inspired by the beauty of the natural world. I blend coffee into my paintings to champion wildlife protection and uplift indigenous communities.
Many of you may know me as an art director for national television commercials or through my watercolor + meditation events, while some of you know me from my first book The Wondrous Cloud Forest, which focused on a specific Conservation Program, protecting endangered Tree Kangaroos and their habitat.

I’ve already completed the poetic story, and I can't wait for you to enjoy it as a complete experience paired with the lush and vibrant illustrations. For now, here’s a special peek at the opening lines:
"High in the hills, where sunlight streams
Shaded by trees, a small bean dreams.
Like a babe inside the womb,
This wee bean begins to bloom.
Tiny roots stretch, smooth tendrils rise,
Reaching up towards open skies.
While in a home not far away
A newborn stirs to greet the day.
Through slanted rain, the sprout stands tall,
Becoming stronger through it all...."
As the story progresses we learn about the different causes coffee helps along it's journey.
I’m excited to paint the majestic animals, lush lands, and the beautiful faces that make up the global coffee community.
How I'm bringing this project to life:
As well as being entertaining, it will be a tool for education, fostering conversations about environmental responsibility and global citizenship.
Time Line
To insure this book to be truly beautiful and meaningful, I’m allowing myself the time to do the work thoughtfully.
Even though I like to work quickly, I don't want rushing to force me to compromise on artistic decisions.
My aim is to complete the book, with printing and delivery by March of 2026. That said, my dream would be for the creative process to move quickly, and to surprise us all by finishing sooner—perhaps even in time for the holidays!

Risks and challenges
As an artist, I feel a great responsibility to make sure you all receive a beautiful final product. I have already invested hundreds of hours in bringing this book to life, and I am so close to making this dream a reality. I can also say that there is nothing like learning from experience, and after writing, illustrating, and self publishing my first picture book, I am confident that there really is no risk in pre-ordering copies to support this project.

- I've already spent months writing, sketching, painting and designing the cover, also taking photos, recording video, and researching the marketing and distribution.
- In April I attended the International Coffee Expo in Houston where I received great interest and many insights to fuel the project.
- Continuing to connect with coffee growers, roasters, café owners, activists, organizations and corporations doing sustainable work.
- Hand painting all the illustrations and variations for designing promotional materials.
- Designing each page on my computer, and working with the printer to insure high quality colors with the printer.
